The artist behind the project
the artistMonica Larsen Donovan is the artist behind the garbage project GKUMIS. I am a social anthropologist from Trondheim, Norway. I love travelling and exploring new cultures. I have lived several years in England where I've picked up a love for bad puns, as well as a lot of rubbish. During my whole life I have worked with text and photos. Combining two of my favourite activities, with my growing concern for the environment and my passion for colours into my newfound love for trashart, is the foundation for the project.
